Positive: The sunset view from this location is elite. The area is tough to get to, need scooter and hold on tight! That’s the risk you take for such a beautiful spot. Not wheelchair friendly, definitely for the youthful, active souls. No noise from villas near by.
Negative: Bedding was so comfortable, kitchen and all supplies you will need. The setting was beautiful, furniture and colours made for a beautiful stay. Our host support Wayan helped us with everything - check in, sites to see, restaurant tips including Mahana Point which is the most incredible surf spot I’ve ever seen!! Just a 5 min scooter ride up and around the hill. Our favourite spots to eat close by were Sea Breeze & Mahana Point (surf place) Just be mindful the location is up a steep hill. There is a very long drive way from the main road to the villa, the closest spot for water or supplies is about 500m away, this is a small mini mart though so you’d want to stock up beforehand. This is not a proper road, this is rock and can be dangerous due to the angle and sharp hill where lots of cars and bikes come down. We spent half our time getting takeaway from restaurants and eating back at the villa, as we found this the most beautiful view for the sunset and seaweed farming. If you want to go swimming - I suggest to use the pool unless you’re a very strong swimmer. Secret beach was bloody dangerous. Such a strong current and rocks all underneath. Mahana point just under Suku beach club can be accessible for swimming, depending on the time of year and tide conditions, we found suitable times to swim was about mid day. This island is a surf spot for a reason. If you’re keen for a good swim hop over to any of the bars along this main road to yellow bridge, they all have infinity pools and plenty of seating & dining (Sea Breeze, The Island, Kuun) we did walk to the furthest bar and pub crawl our way back up the hill one afternoon, the furthest point was about 1.2km and each venue was incredibly welcoming.
