Meadow View (4 Mill End) Cottage is a charming 17th Century semi-detached thatched worker's cottage on the Spains Hall Estate, a short walk from the village of Finchingfield, often said to be the most photographed village in Essex.

Downstairs there is a living room with huge inglenook fireplace (not operational), fitted kitchen and downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (a double/ twin and a double) and shared family bathroom.

The cottage has its own private parking and garden with amazing views over the Finchingfield Brook valley and down to the village. The cottage was recently renovated to include timber floors on the ground floor, new kitchen, bathroom and carpets throughout. Meadow View also has an environmentally friendly low carbon Air Source Heat Pump heating and hot water system. Free fibre broadband wi-fi.

Summary: amazing cottage full of character.peace and quiet of the countryside and the wildlife in your own garden and only a short walk into the village of finchingfield with great food at the fox on the green.hosts were excellent and were close on hand for any needs and very friendly.for a long stay we could not have found better and are so pleased that we chose this cottage.
