Positive: This is the big house, standing alone, surrounded by fields, and has great views of the Seneca Rocks amd surroundings. The location is very good, very close to Seneca rocks and Spruce Knob/lake. There are two minimarkets and small dinneries next to the house. The house is very spacious with big rooms and kitchen, very clean and very well equipped. Jerry the host is very nice and helpfull, helped us with recommedations and with setting up campfire outside the house.
Negative: There were two thing that were problems for us - the water smelled bad, and we didn't understood why. The other thing - it was very cold in the house, especially at night, the temp went down to 62 F (17 C) one night, so we could not sleep. Jerry brought us extra blankets and sleeping bags, but still it was very very cold. We really dont know how it works at winters...but for us it was very hard. There is a air conditioning that worked, however it seems that it is not sufficient to heat the house.
