Dream country home!!
We recently purchased the ‘Lavender Lake Estate’ after a multi-year search for the perfect country house!
We were looking for something special for our large family & this estate absolutely blew us away. Pictures don't do the property justice, truly one of a kind!
UPDATE:
We’ve been living here since March with my 2 young kids & have made significant investments to make the house even better, especially with kids during quarantine!
We added:
- Swing Set/Playground
- Sandbox
- Basement kids playroom with indoor swing
- Built a 2nd Home Office/Nursery with great wifi and privacy
- Upgraded house sound system with new high end Samsung Bluetooth speakers
-Created & improved our hiking trails, multiple hikes on the property, hike for miles & hours without leaving home!
- Building a beautiful herb garden, help us maintain as a hobby or just enjoy the fresh herbs for your cooking convenience!
Nestled among the Northwest hills in the quaint hamlet of Woodbury, the house maintains privacy in a cozy setting while affording all the comforts of modern living
This spectacular contemporary home, which was built by the original owner in 2001, has soaring exposed beamed ceilings, an open and airy interior, and giant windows to take in the gorgeous hillside views and crystal clear swimming pond.
As you enter the house you are greeted by a comfy & generously sized living room with 20 feet high ceilings!
Enjoy the open layout kitchen and dining room featuring a reclaimed farmhouse dining table that comfortably seats 12 along with a newly renovated kitchen that has a counter seating, a beverage fridge, ice maker and any other appliance you might need
Steps off of the kitchen you'll find another living room with 16' high wood beamed ceiling equipped with 75' Samsung TV, Ping Pong Table, Bean Bags, Board Games and wait for it...Giant Trampoline & Basketball Hoop!
Originally intended to be a kids play room we quickly took advantage of the ceiling height and made it a hang out for all ages.
In addition to the living room & family room other common spaces are the upstairs sitting area & our newly finished basement featuring play space for little kids & pool table for the big kids + another 65' Samsung TV.
Once you step outside the house however, that's when you enter the truly unique 1 of a kind property featuring 160' natural stream swimming pond!
The man made pond has a stream that runs through it filtering the water and avoiding the typical swamp/marsh effect that often make ponds too much hassle. Thanks to the stream we don't have mosquito's, algae or pond scum of any kind!
The pond is of course great for swimming and comes equipped with 3 kayaks, SUP (stand up paddle board), dock and other fun swimming gear.
As mentioned above, the house also has a custom built gunite Heated pool with heated jacuzzi spa attached +separate Hot tub mainly for winter months when the pool is covered.
Of course when you're tired of playing in the water you can explore the rest of the property with 10 acres full of hiking trails throughout!!

We have grandkids of all ages from 6 months to 14 years old so we likely have all you need for your kids including:

Summary: Our family reunion, consisting of grandparents, parents and children stayed at this property in July, 2024. This home is lovely with spacious bedrooms, plenty of linen and towels, and 2 fabulous play areas. One play area had an enormous trampoline, which was a favorite of children (and their parents and one grandparent :). The ping pong table was well used as well as the Duplo, soft foam blocks, bowling toy and many, many other toys. The downstairs play area had an elaborate train set, a play kitchen and a play tool set. Our grandchildren spent many happy hours between the 2 play areas. The kitchen had 2 refrigerators (one very large and one under the counter), and good appliances. There is a wonderful pool with a wide variety of floaty toys. During the first few days there were a few minor issues that arose. The owners were VERY quick to respond and work through them. I must mention that although the temperature was quite hot and humid the week we were there, the house was extremely cool and comfortable with thermostats on each level. We saw a family of deer several times during our stay. I highly recommend this lovely property!
