Positive: This overnight stay was a highlight of our tour in a very quiet rural location in France. The owners, who live in the other half of the house, were welcoming and personally showed us around the property which they have clearly put a lot of time and love into creating. The bathroom is huge. The main bedroom is comfortable and has a portable aircon unit and both it and the large bathroom are accessed through the twin bedroom. Downstairs is a comfortable lounge and well equipped dining/kitchen area. Parking is hidden from the street inside the back garden which was ideal for our motorcycle. The family have geese and chickens as well as a couple of very cautious cats. They recommended a restaurant (Le Tulipier) about 10 minutes ride/drive away which turned out to be part of a hotel and serving a high end chef created menu of an exquisite quality - by far the best meal of our 24 day European tour! It was not cheap, but it was worth every Euro!
Negative: The bedrooms are in the roof and very hot in the heatwave, but a fan and portable aircon were provided which helped a lot. The shower enclosure is poorly designed so the showered has to be held in one's hand to prevent flooding the bathroom floor.
