Positive: The team made a real effort to make our stay special, particularly for my mum’s 60th birthday. The decorations (which we paid for) were beautifully done and the cake was arranged seamlessly. The spa facilities were a highlight – the massages were excellent and the hammam was lovely. Staff were polite and responsive throughout, and small requests (like providing a high chair) were handled quickly. Early check-in was also appreciated.
Negative: The main issue was housekeeping. The listing suggested daily cleaning, but this was not the case in practice. The same staff member appeared to be responsible for both cooking and cleaning, which made it difficult for cleaning to be done consistently. There was also no microwave, which made reheating food difficult as the oven was not practical for this. Flies were a noticeable issue, both indoors (including the living area) and outdoors, especially during mealtimes. While this may be a regional issue, it did affect comfort. Simple measures such as table fans during meals (which help keep flies away), food covers, or fly traps/zappers placed near dining areas would make a significant difference.
