Positive: The house was very spacious, with everything we needed, such as ironing facilities, dishwasher, towels, kitchen utensils, wifi, etc. Henri, who looks after the property, lives just at the top of the road and was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The house is set in an absolutely magical location, next to the river and with stunning views of the gorge and cliffs - it was especially fascinating watching the vultures! There is ample outside space, with very pretty plants all around, which included a superb pool area (we were in the pool every day!) and wonderful covered 'summer kitchen' with barbecue - plenty of choice of where to sit and relax! We loved the style of the house, although there were just a few things that could do with a 'refresh', such as the kitchen cupboards and the beds. Having said that, overall it was a superb place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The local village, Le Rozier, was a good place to pick up fresh bread daily and there's also a Spar for essentials. We spent some time exploring there and you can walk up to the tower for stunning views over the countryside. Millau is a large town around half an hour away, with a large supermarket and it is well worth spending some time walking around the town, as well, with plenty of choices for a nice lunch. We also visited the Aven Armand caves and La Cite de Pierres, both stunning. Five minutes from the house is the House of Vultures, which we also enjoyed and now have a new-found admiration for these magnificent birds! We didn't do any water sports but if you are into these, there are no end of places nearly where you can go kayaking, hang gliding or brave a zip wire. We would definitely recommend this property.
Negative: No real 'complaints' as overall it was excellent, maybe just that the kitchen cupboard doors were a little 'fragile' and we found the beds a little small and not overly comfortable (but that may just be us!).
Summary: We would definitely stay here again.
