Positive: The hotel is located right by the sea, and it was peaceful and quiet as it was already the off-season. There is a bus stop nearby, making it easy to travel to Split by bus. The weather was lovely, and we were able to swim in the sea. Despite the negative experiences at the hotel, we did not let them ruin our holiday.
Negative: We had booked a room with two single beds and a large terrace, and we paid extra for these features. However, upon arrival, we were given a smaller room with just one small double bed. The issue could not be resolved immediately because the owner did not speak English, only German and Croatian. She also did not seem willing to help resolve the situation and was angry and unfriendly. When I tried to show her our Booking.com reservation to prove that we had booked a larger room, she simply waved her hand dismissively. Fortunately, an employee named Silvia eventually came to help us. She spoke English and was very helpful. After showing her our Booking.com reservation, which clearly stated the type of room we had booked, we finally managed to get the room we had originally paid for. However, despite all the trouble, the owner never apologised for the mistake. The breakfast was disappointing and certainly not what I would expect from a three-star hotel. Another unpleasant incident occurred when my mother was sunbathing on the beach. The owner came over and told her to leave, even though we had been informed that hotel guests were allowed to use the sun loungers on the hotel's beach. The owner later admitted that she had made a mistake, but once again, she did not apologise. Overall, our experience was disappointing. Although we eventually received the room we had booked, the owner's unfriendly attitude, lack of willingness to help, and failure to apologise made our stay much less enjoyable than it should have been. We really appreciated Silvia's help, but the overall service did not meet our expectations.
