Summary: We are a family of 2 adults, 2 college students from Colorado, using the cottage as our home base for 10 Magical Days. We did day trips by car or train, coming home late to cook dinner each day. The cottage is on the lake which has a bike/walking path, with breath-taking views of IJsselmeer, migrating birds, sheep, country farms and greenhouses, and modern windmills, making for beautiful morning runs and evening walks. The accommodations worked perfectly for a family of four. The cottage is adjacent to the main house, and the owner was always helpful and interesting to talk with. The bathroom Room is separate from the Shower/Sink Room, and there is an additional Sink in the Master Bedroom. The Kitchen is well-equipped with two induction burners, and a combination microwave/convection oven. There are two large grocery stores in town, a few blocks from the cottage. The flower gardens in both the front and back of the cottage are beautiful.Our only difficulty was finding a laundromat suitable for simultaneous family loads; the nearby outdoor laundromat only had one washer/drier combo, which always seemed to be in use.
