Positive: The staff were friendly and accessible during my stay. I Japanese to communicate with them. I LOVED the kotatsu (I stayed in January). Since most attractions closed at 5:00, I ended up spending a little of time relaxing here. There is a bus stop only a 2 minute walk away, but look for the sign because Google maps stopped me too soon. The bus comes about every hour. The train station is a 20 minutes walk away. There is a small mall that has a grocery store, clothing store, restaurants, and a good viewing spot, about 10 minutes walk away. There is a burner, some pots, seasoning, soy sauce, oil, tea, and instant coffee.
Negative: Since it is a Japanese house the heater doesn't heat everywhere, and the hallways and outer rooms were quite cold, as well as the sink water. I liked that it was close to Miyazu station, but there wasn't too much to do in the area.
Summary: Very cozy!
