Positive: After reaching this hidden gem through a very bumpy road from Kuta, you will get to experience the greatest hospitality. This is the place to live like a local, get to know an indonesian village and be welcomed like family. We joked with the owner without words and had the best conversations through Google Translator. He let us taste chilis from his field, told us about how he built the houses himself and introduced us to his family. His wife and daughters cooked delicious meals from scratch (like making fresh coconut milk for the curry 😍 I also had the best Mie Goreng I've ever tasted). It was possible to get a private tour on a scooter to a local waterfall, monkey forest, rice fields and places to try out traditional handicraft. We even got to add a visit to the mosque to really get to know local traditions. At night we played cards and hung out together. The views from the bungalows and in the common area are also beautiful. The bungalows are simple but very new and clean. We definitely recommend staying two or more nights. Such a special place!
Negative: Note that it does get colder here at night so pack something warm!
