Positive: The pool area is lovely
Negative: The first thing to say is that the hosts were accommodating with allowing us to check in early. Be prepared that the hosts do not speak English and communication is done through Google translate. The place is nice and spacious but does not meet the expectations of the listing, apart from the pool area which was lovely. It should be noted that the owners live on the property (though we didn’t see them much) and have two (friendly) dogs. Unfortunately the one dog does chew things left on the ground. Something else to note is that the accommodation is below the house (basement) where the owners live and far from the pool area, meaning lots of trips back and forth if you want to eat outside. Also there is a lot of ongoing construction around the property. The place has potential but the following could easily be improved: - The WiFi did not work the entire time and the host insisted that it did - Reception inside the accommodation was bad - Both showers needed fixing - The towels were old and mismatched - There were no cushions for the lounges by the pool - No extra swimming towels provided - There was not enough glassware - The coffee machine is broken - Only a small percolator for coffee was provided which is much too difficult with a large group - Sufficient tea towels could be provided (we needed to ask for extra) - There was no plug socket for the microwave
Summary: A property with lots of potential but many points where it can be improved
