Positive: De Haven is a wonderful apartment, in the heart of Zierikzee. We loved the location and the apartment had everything we needed for a short stay - and we would like to have stayed longer! Our hosts had clearly thought carefully about what guests would need and they have invested in good quality furnishings which added a special touch to our stay. The beds and sofa were really comfortable. The cooking facilities were also good - there's an electric hob top as well as microwave and kettle, which gave us plenty of options. There are also lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby.
Negative: As other reviewers have mentioned, De Haven is in an old building with original features including the stairs, which are quite steep with two turns. We were aware of this and prepared to encounter difficulties - it's worth it to stay in a building and location like this. The owners have done everything possible to manage the stairs - there are plenty of handrails and grippy treads. In the end, the stairs weren't really an issue at all.
Summary: Beautifully furnished apartment in a great location.
