Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Lovely hosts. Amazing location. Cabins were homey, cosy, warm, and comfortable. Beds come with blanket heaters, and each room also had an electric fire place as well as an electric heater. Parking is easy and spacious. The surrounding areas are beautiful and peaceful! You’re away from all the traffic and can enjoy the ambient sounds of nature.
Negative: The location is far from restaurants or any town, meaning food options are quite limited. The cafe is lovely, with friendly staff and good quality food. However, I ordered ahead with the food offerings that the hosts provide. Although they mean well, the food was extremely bland. Chilli con carne had no spice to it, and the butter chicken didn’t have any resemblance of a curry flavour. Maybe because they were prepped and then frozen and then reheating it took away some moisture and flavour? Either way, this only downside should not take away from the many incredible things that this place has to offer!
