The Millennium Coastal Park footpath runs from Ferryside and visits the rugged coves, stunning beaches, and dramatic coastline this area has to offer and is perfect by foot or cycle and runs for 14 miles passing Kidwelly, Burry Port and onto Llanelli.

There are many places to visit including Dylan Thomas’ cottage in the township of Laugarne where he spent the last years of his life. A trip to the coastal walled town of Tenby is around a 45-minute drive, here your family can discover the cobbled streets; take a boat trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks; have a paddle or enjoy fish and chips on the harbour walls. Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm Zoo and Heatherton World of Adventure, are also a nearby fantastic day out.
