Positive: The property was clean and tidy, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, towels were provided and the welcome gift of two miniature bottles of alcohol was a very nice surprise.
Negative: The storage facilities in the kitchen were insufficient as was the bedroom. The kitchen is very basic but doesn’t have a microwave. We couldn’t find any instruction manual for the cooker. The fridge was too small and the freezer space was just an ice box. Whilst we were told about the step between the kitchen and lounge area it wasn’t clearly visible or marked with hazard tape so blended in. We could hear music from the house attached and when my husband was in the bathroom he could hear people talking. All of these things we would have tolerated for the weekend but unfortunately because of a medical issue my husband has the height of the bed and the bedside table next to it resulted in his breathing pipe becoming trapped between the mattress and the bed so we had to leave after one night.
Summary: Pleasant hosts, very basic accommodation, ok for a weekend but glad I hadn’t booked a week.
