The Place d'Youville Loft is located on one of the most historic streets of Old Montreal. Originally built in 1842 as a furrier warehouse and merchant store, the building was renovated into a boutique residence containing only 11 units. Located on the top floor of the building, the loft features 17 foot cedar-beam ceilings and a wall of 10 foot windows. The 1,200 sqft hardwood, open concept layout includes a large living room with 6 person sofa, gas burning fireplace and 42" TV (cable TV included). The dining room features a 6-seater antique monk's table set against the original stone and masonry walls. The living and dining rooms can either be a fantastic entertaining space or cozy relaxation area as the fire burns in the background. The fully equipped kitchen with island and bar-space provides ample area to prepare meals or casually unwind with a drink. The bathroom, located off the main hall, features a separate shower and tub. The queen sized bed is fitted with a hypoallergenic duvet, pillows and high-thread count linens and is located in the bedroom towards the back of the loft. The bedroom offers double closets with full length mirrors, night tables and a vintage dresser. The ruins of the first parliament of Canada and the Canadian Customs House (featured in the movie ‘The Score') are across the street. An original 1800's fire station (now historical/tourism center), the Pointe a Calliere (Montreal Museum of Archeology and History) are within ½ a block, and the waterfront park running the length of old Montreal is 1 block south.
