Positive: The location of the property is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. It’s extremely private and in a quiet area. Very close to the nature reserve. The outside area of the property is clean and tidy. There are plenty of comfortable sun beds, a lovely pool and bbq area. We paid an extra £230.00 to have the pool heated for a weeks stay. I would definitely recommend paying this if your stay is a little out of season. The lounge was large and comfortable.
Negative: Having said the outside area was lovely, the property itself we found very disappointing. We were surprised to see two tatty old fold up beds just left standing in front of the large bay window in the master bedroom. As if it just being used for storage. We asked on day 1 of our holiday for these to be removed but they never were. We had to look at these old beds for the entirety of our stay. The beds were so uncomfortable, the mattresses were hard and old. The appliances in the kitchen were all old and tatty. We didn’t use the toaster, didn’t feel like eating from it. The racks on the dishwasher had to be lifted in, every time you used it. It’s such a shame because it just needs a little updating to bring it up to scratch and maybe at least leave a couple of grains of sugar and a teabag or 2 for guests to feel they’ve received a warm welcome.
