Villa Lilli is a splendid villa dating back to the end of the 19th century, one of the first manor houses built in Montecatini Terme when this area was still called Bagni di Montecatini and was administered by the municipality of Montecatini Alto. We are in the most renowned and elegant area of the town, right next to the park of the Terme and its pine forest and just a few steps from the pedestrian area full of restaurants and shops. The style is Art Nouveau, characterised by the original self-supporting marble stairs, with the wrought iron railing of the period, and a pink marble floor. The villa was renovated for the first time in the 1980s by the current owners who had acquired it about 10 years earlier from the previous owner, a renowned industrialist of the area. It has recently undergone further restoration, aimed at providing greater comfort, with the construction of the private swimming pool at the same time, a true rarity for a property located in the centre of a town.
Interior:
The villa has three floors. The property is accessed directly from the street through a pedestrian gate leading to the entrance door on the ground floor. To the right of the central corridor is a large open-plan area with lounge/TV room and dining room. To the left, instead, you come to the modern-style kitchen with large island connected, in turn, to the breakfast room complete with second kitchen. The dining room and the modern kitchen have French windows for direct access, down two steps, to the garden and swimming pool. The ground floor is completed by a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The imposing original marble staircase leads up to the first floor with the main sleeping area. In front of the staircase is a convenient wardrobe/walk-in closet with access to an attractive little balcony. On the right side of the hallway is a double bedroom with access to the first floor terrace and a bathroom with shower. On the opposite side is a double bedroom, a further double bedroom with divisible beds and a bathroom with hydromassage tub with shower hook. All the rooms have colour prints depicting the original frescoes of the baths of Montecatini. From the ground floor, an internal staircase goes down to the basement consisting of a large furnished room with TV area, dining area with ornamental fireplace and ornamental wood oven, a bar corner with fridge and a relaxation area with ping pong table, treadmill and horizontal exercise bike. This floor is completed by the laundry room and a guest bathroom. Air conditioning in the bedrooms.
Park:
The completely enclosed garden of the property measures about 150 sq m and extends almost exclusively at the rear of the house where the swimming pool is located and on the boundary with the pine wood of Montecatini Terme. Completely level, it is partly planted with lawn and partly paved with stone where the cosy dining area with table, chairs, umbrellas and portable barbecue is set up. The entire perimeter of the garden is delimited by an attractive hedge providing privacy.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The newly built swimming pool measures 7,5 x 3,5 m with a constant depth of 1,40 m. Entrance is via steps on the short side of the pool nearest the villa. Lined in sand-coloured PVC, it has salt purification and lighting. The pool is equipped with an ivory-coloured cover (that can be closed every evening) and it can be heated. The pool area is completed by a hot and cold-water shower, sunbeds, umbrellas and is available from the last Saturday of April to the last Saturday of October.
Pets: On request, € 50,00 per animal per week. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
