Summary: Valencia Way This property served our purpose of having a place to land at the end of a long day visiting in the area. The amenities lacked warmth in that the only lights were on the ceiling making it very bright and not relaxing. There were no side tables with lamps or personal touches. This residence was not reassuring in its cleanliness with various dusty accumulations. The kitchen had nice appliances including an air fryer, but lacked a toaster. Having ice in the freezer was very nice. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The ceiling fans were a welcome feature. The deck looked sketchy but was OK except for a few curled floor boards at the far end. It was solid to sit out and enjoy the woods with birds and deer daily. Safety issues - The transition from dining room to kitchen is a trip hazard as it is raised; loose railing on front porch steps, and stairs leading to the upper floor; at night the security flood lights do not reach the steps due to overgrown bushes. With a few changes this would be an excellent location for a quiet retreat close to a large important southern city, Richmond, VA.
