Positive: Beautiful park-like setting outside, but reasonably close to Maastricht and the American Cemetery. It was very nice to sit outside and enjoy an afternoon "fika" - a Swedish word that defines a leisurely coffee and pastry in the garden, although in my case it was Dutch beer and bitterballen.
Summary: If you are visiting the Maastricht area, you are crazy to not stay at the Vaeshartelt Maastricht.
