Located within a secure gated community, you're just minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center with whitewater rafting and kayaking, the charming towns of Andrews and Murphy, and the casino. Front Entry – The lighted front entry is off the gravel parking area, separated by a wood half-wall. The wood, wrap-around deck goes along the front of the house and around the side and back. Pretty potted plants along the entire deck invite you to linger in this beautiful setting. Entry inside is easy - there aren’t any steps from the parking area into the home.

Fire Pit – The metal fire pit with seating for 4 is conveniently located right off the front entry walkway, in a cozy little nook where you can see and hear the trees. Firewood can be purchased at most gas stations.

Back Deck - The spacious back deck is magical! Built out into the trees, this is the perfect spot to relax on the cushioned sofa-lounger with a good book, majestic trees and a nearby burbling waterfall providing nature’s music. Grill a delicious meal on the gas grill. The dining area is steps away through the sliding glass doors, with huge picture windows to enjoy the forest scenery.

Great Room – Windows, windows, everywhere make you feel like you’re living in a modern, upscale treehouse! Beautiful wood floors compliment the great room’s serene furnishings. Relax on the overstuffed leather furniture to take in the beautiful scenery, or in front of the wood-burning fireplace (firewood is not provided, but is sold at most gas stations and convenience stores).

Kitchen & Dining – The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances, butcher-block countertops, a drip coffee maker, a microwave, and a toaster oven (no dishwasher). The kitchen’s windows allow you to enjoy the forest while cooking. The dining area with seating for 4 in front of large picture windows lets you relish the delicious scenery along with your meal.

Study/Office – The study/office is to the side of the Great Room. Here you’ll find a desk with modem for wired or wireless internet, books, and a DVD player. Watch a movie from the DVD library, or you can choose a program to enjoy on the Internet TV or by logging into your own subscribed streaming service.

Master Bedroom & Bath – On the main floor, the master bedroom is serenely and tastefully decorated with a comfortable Queen bed and lighted ceiling fan. The ensuite master bath has a single sink and a shower/tub combination.

Loft Bedroom & Bath – Stairs near the kitchen lead to the open, loft bedroom with a comfortable Queen bed and skylights for watching the stars as you drift off to sleep. Across from the loft, you have a wonderful view of the forest through the large window in the cathedral ceiling. The loft bathroom has a pedestal sink and a walk-in shower.

Generator – The generator is hard-wired into the cabin. You don’t need to do anything if the power goes out. The generator turns on automatically when there’s a power outage, and turns off automatically once normal power is restored. The generator also has a whole-house surge protector. The only way you’ll know there’s a power outage is by the hum of the generator when it starts up. The generator runs a 5-minute self-diagnostic every Friday at 6:00 PM and sends a report to let us know it’s working properly.

Driveway and Parking – The road is not steep up to the cabin. The gravel driveway leads to the lighted parking area with plenty of room for two or more cars. A half-wall along the parking area makes an inviting entry to the lighted front door of the cabin. For security purposes, this cabin has external cameras monitoring the exterior, public areas of the property. These devices may be operational during your stay.

Area Activities – You’ll find plenty to enjoy in our friendly area! You can fish in one of the area’s beautiful lakes, rivers, or streams, or take a boat tour. Have an adventure white water rafting in the nearby Nantahala River. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is a short drive, with rafting, kayaking, swimming in the river, riverside restaurants, and frequent weekend entertainment. Explore Andrew’s quality shops and restaurants – downtown is approximately 10 minutes away. Or visit Murphy for additional shops and restaurants – downtown is approximately 30 minutes away. Try your luck at nearby Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & family-friendly Multi-tainment Center.
