Summary: This is a beautiful, homey and well-appointed property that is in an absolutely fantastic neighborhood on the west side of Seattle. As a frequent traveler, one of the things I really appreciate about VRBOs/vacation rentals is when the home feels like a home, and not like a hotel. We could not have been happier with the home and how the owners outfitted it for our needs. There is a lovely deck where we enjoyed our morning beverages, and the upstairs bedrooms were well-appointed and comfortable. The house is in walking distance to two bus stops where we were able to get on buses that took us into downtown Seattle - one stopped right by Pike Place Market. I will warn that the neighborhood is very hilly, and to access either bus stop - or the cute neighborhood restaurants and shops that are in walking distance from the house - you have to negotiate quite a bit of vertical gain. One bus stop requires navigating a very tall and steep set of steps; the little restaurant/shopping area is accessed via that set of steps, or you can go a different route that has a sidewalk, but the vertical gain is very steep. So, if you are staying at the property with folks who have limited mobility or assistive walking devices, please be aware you may have to count on having your own car or taking Ubers to get out of the neighborhood.There is a beautiful park close to the house; see pictures. Those views are walking distance from the house!
