Rockpool House is a calm retreat only steps away from Skenes Creek Beach. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels like home. The days here begin with the sunrise over the sea, and unfold around ocean views. Head down to the beach across the road for summer swims or winter walks, explore the rockpools right in front of the house, stargaze from the large bath on the deck and, on cold days, curl up by the fireplace with the record player on.

There’s nothing quite like the natural beauty that surrounds the house, with the sparkling ocean set against a mighty, mountainous backdrop, and bushwalks galore close by. The magnificent sunrises, sunsets and ever-changing sea views provide daily moments of delight. While you might only be visiting for a short time, the magic of Rockpool House stays with you long after you’ve left.
THE HOUSE The house has a versatile floorplan – big enough and a great layout for families and groups of friends to have plenty of space, but can easily feel intimate and cosy for couples, too. Upstairs, you’ll find the kitchen, main living area, dining area and deck, as well as the main bedroom that has an ensuite and spa bath. Couples can easily just use this level and still have access to all the best bits of the house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook meals and feel at home, and in the main living and dining space you’ll find a TV with a comfy couch area, a working wood fireplace, and a record player with plenty of records. The remaining bedrooms are downstairs, as well as a second bathroom with a shower and bathtub. There’s also a second rumpus room-living area with a large television equipped with Apple TV.
THE DECK Glass sliding doors completely open up on both sides from the main living area to a huge new wooden wraparound deck with big, wide ocean views. You’ll see some of the most incredible skies, sea and rainbows here, and you might even spot a whale! Rinse off after a long day at the beach in the outdoor shower, or soak and stargaze in the large bathtub.
THE BEACH The beach is across the road from Rockpool House, named after the magic rockpools right in front of the house that are great for exploring. It’s so easy to pop down for early morning swims, sunset walks, and beach trips as many times a day as you want. A few minutes walk is Skenes Creek Beach, and we might even tell you about our ‘secret’ beach, with crystal waters and a mountain backdrop, only a 10 minute walk away!
THE LOCATION Apollo Bay is only a 10 minute drive away, where you can pick up everything you need for your stay. Grab seafood from the local fisherman at the pier and cook it at home, or enjoy the restaurants in town or up on the hill at famous Chris’. There are also plenty of peaceful bushwalks around the area, where you’ll almost always spot a koala or kangaroo.
