Enjoy Full USE of the three acre manicured grounds with rose garden, perennial gardens, large commercial grade playground, half court "basketball", waterfall, fountains, bridge, swimming pool, hot tub, pavilion with gas fire pit, 2 boat docks/swimming platform, and private patio with a stunning view of the beautiful Lake of Egypt.
The *CARRIAGE HOUSE is a separate home attached to the main house via an under ground tunnel. Complete with heated driveway and guard houses flanking the entry to welcome you. The *CARRIAGE HOUSE is nicely appointed with all the comforts of home including large screen television, DVD, stereo, game table, wireless internet, 2 sunny bedrooms both with queen size beds, full bath, foyer, living room with very comfortable queen size sleeper sofa and walk out kitchen with Jenn-air appliances.
The beautiful Lake of Egypt is located fifteen minutes from downtown Marion Illinois. Twenty Minutes from Herrin Illinois. Twenty minutes from Carterville and John A. Logan College, Thirty minutes from Carbondale Illinois and Southern Illinois University. Forty Five Minutes from Paducah Kentucky.
Lake of Egypt is centrally located in the heart of Southern Illinois and provides easy access to many surrounding towns as well as John A Logan College and Southern Illinois University. The Southern Illinois areas is home to many beautiful lakes, wildlife, fragrant orchards and hillside vineyards. The Lake of Egypt is nestled within the Shawnee National Forest which lays between the borders of The Great Mississippi and Ohio rivers and is made up of 280,000 acres of mountain tops and rugged rock formations. Enjoy miles of hiking, biking and horseback trails, including The American Discovery Trail.
Southern Illinois is home to the Southern Illinois Miners baseball team, Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Shawnee National Forest, and many state parks.
