3 Bedroom Cottage in Thornhill

Templand cottage is nestled in the picturesque Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway countryside. Where we have 6 individual holiday cottages set around a lovely private court yard which have exclusive use of the HOT TUB, indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. A fee is now applicable, booking is by an hourly slot. This cottage has beautiful views of the private courtyard which can be seen through patio doors leading out from the open plan lounge/dining room onto your own private patio area which is ideal for BBQ's and outdoor seating. Perfect for any special occasion, including wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, Christmas, new year and any other special occasions as we are open all year round. This cottage has 3 bedrooms. The upstairs has a master bedroom with super king bed, which includes its own en-suite shower room with wash hand basin and toilet. The ground floor has two bedrooms, a twin room and a room with small double. This cottage has the advantage of a downstairs bathroom which includes bath, shower over the bath, wash hand basin and toilet. It has an open plan lounge/dinning room with a cosy wood burner stove and a well equipped kitchen. The property includes use of a shared washing machine and tumble dryer for your own laundry facilities if you may require this during your stay. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 the laundry facilities are closed until further notice.

Summary: we had a lovely stay at templand cottages. The little cottage had everything as described. The most helpful and kind landlords. Absolutely relaxing private hot tub. Definitely quiet, no traffic, partying or other noise will disturb you there. Breathtaking view and although remote, it’s only a 20min walk or 5min drive to the town (for groceries or a afternoon coffee…) Lots of places to visit within 40min (or shorter) drive away. One of the few places we have been to, we would definitely like to come back to.
