A bright respite from life's angst! At Water & Stone Retreat in Idaho Springs Colorado, this cabin offers amazing views of the night sky, mountainside, surrounding woods, & the creek! If you're looking for fancy, this isn't the place. Though the cabin is simple, it is sweet & clean. With high-speed internet, it's the perfect office away from home! Truly adorable, cozy rustic mountain cabin on the creek!
The space
The cabin is PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED w/ disinfectant & HEPA-3 air purifier after each guest.
We are able to offer an early check-in of 2 pm or a late check-out of 12 pm for an additional $50 fee, because it requires our cleaners to adjust their normal schedule. Please let us know if you would like us to coordinate their schedule for the additional fee. Otherwise, I am sorry but we can't offer it. Thank you!
No campfires are allowed.
No parties allowed. We live nearby, so if we hear a party occurring, you will be required to leave. No exceptions.
The Indoor Fireplace is not available for guest use
If you bring a pet(s), there is a non-refundable pet fee of $50, due to the additional cleaning required. This fee does not include any damages that your pet may cause. Any damage caused is in addition to the pet fee. You are required to pick up your animal’s waste (disposal cans are provided). If you fail to inform us of your pet prior to arrival, you will be required to leave the property immediately, without refund. No exceptions. Maximum of 2 pets, no exceptions. All pets must be on leash at all times, as there are many other cabins/guests nearby.
Please note in our listing that "beachfront" refers to having direct access to the creek. It is not a sandy beach; however, VRBO does not have a specific setting to note that it is the banks of the creek, which are rocky.
Guest access
This property is part of a larger property with many cabins. The rest of the property is off limits at all times, as all other cabins have either long- or short-term tenants living in them. Please do not disturb them. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of the forest, that is very private, this is not it - as noted it is on a large property, but there are many other cabins on the property in addition to this one. Always contact us via the VRBO app for assistance! By booking this listing, your access is for the Sweet Pine cabin, and not the surrounding cabins.
Other things to note
We cannot guarantee that we can answer the phone at all hours of the day and night if you call. We have one phone, and the person who answers the phone cannot be awake 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you need anything whatsoever during your stay, you must message us via the VRBO app. That is the only way we can guarantee a response. We have several staff members who monitor the messages, and can most promptly assist you in that manner.
We do not allow smoking or incense of any kind inside the cabin. If you plan to smoke, please do so outdoors, with the cabin doors & windows closed. There is an ashtray on the deck out back for your use. If we discover this rule has been broken, we will need to collect damages to have the cabin fumigated.
There have been sightings of bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, moose, and foxes in the area. This is their home too. Please make sure to bring all food inside at night. Do not sleep with the doors open. Animals can be curious!
Enter the creek at your own risk! We are not responsible if you injure yourself by going in the water. We do not recommend that you enter the creek, as it could be unsafe.
We can arrange for cleaning during your stay for an extra $50 fee.
