Our Fisgard Flat @ the Union is a luxuriously appointed one-bedroom condo in the Union Building, located in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC.
You'll love our perfect "Design District" location 1 block from the inner harbour. From our suite, look out at the beautiful sights of Chinatown: lucky red-paper lanterns, gas-flame lamps and the famous Gates of Harmonious Interest (built as “a permanent monument to mark the harmony of the multicultural society which all Canadians enjoy.”) The Union Building was built in 2014 and spans the entire block between Chinatown to the north and Market Square to the south.
Aside from the sights of Chinatown, our top-floor suite affords a spectacular north-facing view over the heritage brick buildings of Old Town, to the inner harbour and Vancouver Island mountains beyond. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the balcony and the living room's comfortable leather furniture.
The 9-foot ceilings and full-height windows allow lots of natural light. The living room offers designer touches - such as the gloss-laminate coffee table with a lift-top - and affords ample space to relax on the leather sectional couch. The dining room is romantic and cozy with the wall-mounted fireplace.
The bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed. The condo is best suited for 2 people, however two extra guests can be accommodated on the queen sofa-bed, and we also have a Pak'N'Play + bedding for a baby (please note the height of the balcony and its furniture make our unit unsuitable for toddlers and small children!!)
The full kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare gourmet meals.
In-suite laundry is provided, and other amenities include telephone, cable + HDTV, Netflix, free Wifi internet, board games, and 1 parking spot in our enclosed, underground parkade.
The harbour ferry stops one block away ... take a tour of the Gorge waterway or go for fish & chips at Fisherman's Wharf.
There are numerous excellent restaurants within a few blocks, including Mo;le, Jam, Swan's Brewpub, II Terrazzo, ulla, Green Cuisine Vegetarian, Canoe Brewpub, Brasserie L'Ecole, to name just a few.
We will meet you upon arrival (we don't do self check-in), to ensure that you have everything you need and answer any questions that you may have. We will be happy to send you info and links prior to your stay, for everything from our recommended restaurant list to transportation info (even bike and kayak rentals)... just ask!
