This amazing, modern 1 BR/1 BA, 600 sq. feet private guesthouse with a gorgeous outdoor oasis is located in historical Jane's Village in NW Altadena. Altadena (alta meaning upper & dena from Pasadena) is a diverse neighborhood community of Pasadena. Situated at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, but only 12 mi from downtown LA.
3.5 miles from Old Town Pasadena, 2.9 miles from Rose Bowl and 1 mile from Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL)

I'm Kittie, the homeowner and Premier Host of the Blue Moon Bungalow -our Hollywood-inspired guesthouse.
I'm so happy you found my listing and stopped for a minute to find out if we are the right fit for you. I know it's been the worst of years for all of us and I am committed to making you feel cared for and safe and comfortable now that you are traveling again.
I am so grateful to be back doing what I love which is welcoming guests from all over the world that become part of my home sharing journey which began in 2015.
Blue Moon Bungalow is accepting reservations for a minimum stay of 1 night and a maximum stay of 28 nights. Longer stays may be available, and will be considered on a case by case basis depending upon availability. If interested in a longer stay, please send me an inquiry with your preferred dates and the reason for your request.
I am happy to offer a 10% weekly discount for stays of 7 nights and a 25% monthly discount for stays of 28 night.
We live on property in the main house- Casa Luna- and the guesthouse- Blue Moon Bungalow -is located in the rear of our property. My close proximity means I will always be available to you during your stay.
Our guesthouse is well-stocked with many options for your comfort and preference including individual travel size and larger size amenities in the bathroom.
In the kitchen there will also be many options for you. Plenty of paper towels, individual bottles of water, a Keurig machine with k-cup dark roast and medium roast pods, a Cuisinart drip coffee maker with bulk dark roast coffee, an assortment of tea bags, individual packets of assorted sugar and liquid and powder coffee mate.
You will find we have provided you a First Morning breakfast, that you will find in the refrigerator, when you arrive. A typical breakfast will include croissants with butter and jam, Coconut Chia Granola Cereal with Coconut Milk, and Fruit Juice.
We also delight in providing you a snack basket of individually wrapped goodies. When we travel, we appreciate not having to run to the grocery as soon as we arrive for snacks, coffee, and breakfast, so we've done that for you so you can relax when you arrive.
There are many reasons to celebrate and I would like to offer an add on amenity for you to purchase. Wouldn't it be wonderful to arrive to a chilled bottle of champagne or prosecco and a gorgeous deluxe charcuterie of assorted cheeses, meats, crackers, French baguette, fruit, olives, and chocolate. It will be gorgeous and delicious. The price is $100. Please see photos and contact me to order in advance of your stay.
Fully Stocked kitchen with an abundance of all you will need to prepare meals at home. Cookware, dishes, casserole dishes, serving pieces, glassware including everyday plus wine, champagne and cocktail glasses.
The pantry area will have salt and pepper, olive oil, and spices, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and tupperware. Mayonnaise, Mustard, and Ketchup provided.
Disinfectants and other cleaning supplies. will be available for you to use during your stay.
The decor in the Blue Moon Bungalow pays homage to Hollywood & the entertainment industry because Altadena/Pasadena is one of the most popular and sought after areas for film, TV, commercials, & photo shoots in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our own Casa Luna is a popular location for film & TV so you may recognize it one day while watching TV or a movie.
Everything in The Blue Moon was designed & selected to give you the most comfortable stay imaginable. You will always find an abundance of towels and washcloths, bed pillows, sheets and blankets.
In the bedroom, you will sleep like a baby on the Queen size bed with the most amazing mattress -you will not want to ever get up.
Relax with a sound machine and a diffuser you can fill with a few drops of Lavender Essential Oil for Sweet Dreams.
Full closet with chest of drawers and lots of hangers, Ironing Board and iron.
Large bathroom with plenty of cabinet and drawer space.
We get lots of comments on our sofa and many guests say they fall asleep there because it's the most comfortable and soft sofa they've ever felt.
But my personal favorite is the recliner chair......
so if you can stay awake, there's Free wifi, Smart TV- with FIRE TV, Hulu Live, Netflix, Prime Video...
Mini-split for Air Conditioning and Heat. Ceiling Fans located in the Living Room and the Bedroom.
Lovely yard with a garden of flowers and plants to enjoy our year-round beautiful California climate. Lots of outdoor furniture to enjoy for your morning coffee with the hummingbirds, Happy Hour with the Pasadena Parrots or a dinner date with your beloved. Traveling solo? Welcome to your sanctuary.
