This spacious country home sits pretty on a hill overlooking the private pond and is only 10 miles from downtown Helen. The main level has several incredible gathering areas including a large kitchen, dining room, and a cozy living room with a wood-burning stove. The entire house has been tastefully decorated with lots of amenities and thoughtful touches.
The coffee maker at Southwind is a standard drip-style that takes basket filters. Bring you ground coffee! Besides the standard kitchen appliances, there is a closet filled with small appliances! There are two crock pots, a panini pan, an ice cream maker, a two-burner electric hot plate, a food processor, an electric skillet, a blender and a quesadilla maker. This closet is located in the hall on the way to the garage where you will find an additional refrigerator, if needed. In this hall are the beautiful front-loading washer and dryer, too.
For entertainment, there is satellite television and WiFi. If you must work while on vacation, there are several desks waiting for you to set up office. Take a break on the front porch, the perfect place to relax and unwind, watch the birds and wait for the three docile cows to come to the fence for a visit. Don't forget the fishing poles! The pond is for your fishing pleasure! There is also an outdoor fire pit and gazebo for evenings outdoors. In the summer, enjoy the pool and the outdoor seating areas. For meals cooked outside, the gas grill is equipped with both burners and griddle.
No small beds at Southwind! There are kings and queen only. Every bedroom is equipped with a television and plenty of room to sneak away for a little quiet time. On the first floor are two bedrooms, the master king and a guest king. The master king bedroom has a private bath, including a jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. The guest king bedroom has a bath with shower/tub combo just in the hall. Upstairs is a king bedroom with private bath and then one king and one queen with a Jack-and-Jill bath.
Please be mindful of the full-time apartment tenant's parking spot just past the garage and leave room for him to come and go. There is parking for 5 or 6 vehicles at Southwind.
