Sol no Pátio - Alojamento Local in Portimão | The holiday flat is located in an old town house on the edge of the old town of Portimao. Due to the narrow streets in front of the house, there is little direct road traffic. There are many free public car parks within walking distance.

The house is within walking distance of the town centre, the train station and the long-distance train station. This means that you can reach several beaches or towns in just a few minutes, even without your own car or hire car. Travelling from Faro or Lisbon airport is also possible:
- To the beach: with UBER you can be at Praia da Rocha in just 5 minutes at a reasonable price (from approx. 4 euros/direction). The quickest way to Maia Praia (5 min journey time) is by train, as the station is just around the corner from the house and the beach. You can also find a timetable under the photos of the holiday home. You can also take the train to Faro, for example. You can take the bus (every 30 minutes; single journey from 0.90 euros, weekly ticket 14 euros; as of 2024; source: Vamus App) from the Alameda to the beaches Praia dos Tres Irmaos or Alvor.
- To the restaurants: Several restaurants (e.g. the Restaurante O Mata Porcos approx. 3 minutes) and bars are only a few steps away. The promenade is only a 10-minute walk away, where there are more restaurants and bars with beautiful water views.
- Groceries: There is a small farm shop around the corner (cheap, vegetables, fruit, water) and a small supermarket about 4 minutes' walk away. Portimao Auchan, a large supermarket with a fish counter, is also 15 minutes away. I buy my fish there, for example. You can also have your shopping delivered by Auchan for a small fee.

Please note that the city of Portimao has been charging a tourist tax since April 2024. Therefore, I must collect 2 euros per person per night on the day of check-in for up to 7 nights in cash or in advance by IBAN. Children under the age of 13 are excluded from the tourist tax. In the low season (October-March), the tax is 1 euro per person per night.
