Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Perfect location, close to the sea, enough space for a family of four. Clean apartment, equipped kitchen, two spacious terraces.
Negative: The check-in time is mentioned between 12:00 and 13:00 which is a bit strange (are you supposed to come before 13:00?) I told the host that we are expected to arrive between 18:00 and 19:00 but since we were traveling by car for more than 600 km I warned the host that I can't predict exact arrival time. He said that it's OK, we just need to warn him several hours in advance of our exact arrival time. There was a traffic jam at St Gottard tunnel in Switzerland, so we were a bit late and at 16:04 I texted the host that our estimated arrival time is 19:40. He asked if we were able to come before 19:00 (of course, it was not possible unless we drive at 300 km/h) and since it's not possible we have to pay 30€ late arrival fee, which was never mentioned earlier and was only communicated when it was too late to do anything. Then we hit some traffic around Milan and finally arrived 1 hour later than planned (at 20:05) and we had to pay 30€ extra. I'm using Booking.com for about 20 years and tha's the first time I have to pay for ariving one hour later than communicated to the host. Another negative point: almost complete absence of consumables: no detergents for washing machine and dishwasher, no sponge - be prepared to buy everything yourself or bring your own.
