Positive: I took the studio for 3 people. It had a good-sized balcony on the second floor, with a mountain view. On the whole, it was very peaceful. Over many years of staying in Greek hotels, sound insulation between rooms has been poor. Santa Maura is excellent in this respect. Once the door to the balcony is closed, you hear nothing, and it's like no one being in the adjacent rooms. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned every day. Excellent value for money. I
Negative: I wasn't happy with my bed. I thought I had booked a double bed but could see nothing confirming this on my paperwork, so I didn't complain. One reason I booked Santa Maura is because of the lift, it proved that it was not working.I was told on arrival that it would be fixed, and indeed, it was after a few days. It is a lift like no other I have experienced, most importantly it got me and my large suitcase to the groud floor. A small point, The Santa Maura brochure is out of date as there is no bar or cafeteria, not that I would have used them.
