Positive: This is a really cute authentic Italian apartment right in the heart of Chianalea. We loved the terrace (shared) with wonderful views to the sea. The apartment was spacious and breezy. Be prepared you have to climb a spiral staircase to get to your room (we were on the 3rd floor) so those with mobility issues will have difficulty. Car parking is limited. We were lucky enough to get one at the port where we could stay for free but it is a bit of a nightmare driving around to find one.
Negative: The bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy. And there wasn’t really any cooking facilities. There was a small stovetop but no cooking utensils, cups, crockery or a kettle, and only a tiny bar fridge. The shower was nice and hot but leaked and saturated the floor. Also the tourist tax was €2 pp per night (not €1 as stated in booking.com). However these issues didn’t detract from our wonderful experience in Scilla which we loved.
