Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location in Tumbulgum is excellent, with the pub only a few doors down. The outlook across the river is stunning and the property is well maintained and clean. Access to the property on arrival was easy with lockbox key.

Negative: We expected to have the entire property to ourselves when we booked. However, on arrival we discovered that there was another tenant living on the lower level with a dog. The dog barking (day and night) became an issue over the days we stayed. There is access to the laundry on the lower floor, with adjoining doors “locked”to the other lower spaces. Suspect the tenant was actually moving between the spaces on the lower level at times. The layout of the upper level is a little strange. While there is a separate toilet / powder room the two bathrooms are more like ensuites, with main bathroom (with shower) attached to the master bedroom at the rear. When staying with 3 couples this made things difficult coordinating the bathroom use. There is aircon in the lounge and two of the front bedrooms, however the master at rear is fan only and became very hot.

Summary: We enjoyed the location but a little disappointed with the shared property arrangement that was not disclosed on booking
