Welcome to Ridge Retreat in Prince Edward County!
Our spacious country home sits on several acres, backing on to your own private forest. Ridge Retreat is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Sandbanks, 10 minutes from Picton and 5 minutes from Bloomfield. Come enjoy the beaches, wineries and restaurants the county has to offer. Ridge Retreat features a fully stocked kitchen, fire-pit, deck and a screened in porch. We have lots of activities and toys for the kids and we welcome your furry friends.
Guests will have access to the entire home and will enjoy a spacious open concept main floor with large dining space and fully stocked kitchen with all the supplies and equipment you could possibly need. There is laundry on-site and there are two full bathrooms, both with bathtubs.
There are three bedrooms and families will enjoy the bonus play room stocked with toys, games and a child's bunk bed. One bedroom features a king bed, the second has a queen & the third has a double/single bunk bed combo. If required, the living room couch pulls out and an air mattress can be made available. A playpen and high chair are available for use.
The walk-out lower level features a large living space and a screened in porch to enjoy the outdoors without the bites! The outdoor space also features a private deck with BBQ, a fire-pit and acres of private land to roam, watch sunsets or gaze at the amazing stars.
Linens are provided, including beach towels, and there is one beach (provincial park) pass available for the duration of your stay. While we supply toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, garbage bags & BBQ propane, guests are expected to bring their own personal supplies such as soap & shampoo/conditioner. Water is safe for drinking and there are some basic supplies like spices, and S&P available for your use.
There are a variety of games, puzzles, toys and books available for your enjoyment. There is great wifi and the two TVs are equipped with streaming options. Good mannered pets are welcome & guests are expected to pick up after them.
Please note, the garage is not available for use. In case of emergencies, questions or any issues, we are a quick text or phone call away & can have someone there to assist.
We have enjoyed the county for many years and would be happy to make recommendations for dining, wine & brewery tours, hiking or other options for activities for all ages. While we are new to VRBO, we have been hosting for 5 years, you can find our reviews on airbnb.
Come visit the county any time of the year! Enjoy the quiet in the winter, the holiday markets, or try snowshoeing or tobogganing right outside of the house. The spring brings beautiful, fragrant lilacs lining so many of the county roads, weekend markets and is a great time to experience the wineries and breweries at a leisurely pace. The summer is the best time to enjoy the beautiful beaches, including the famous sand dunes at Sandbanks. Dine on a patio, hike, or play a round of golf. Finally, the fall is absolutely beautiful with the changing leaves, extend your summer and come out and experience a variety of activities without the crowds.
