Summary: We booked a Défense view room at the Mercure Hotel in La Défense via Hotels.com. Upon arrival, we were given a room on the 4th floor with no Défense view—only tall buildings right in front. After insisting, we got moved to the 17th floor, which was slightly better, but still not the view we paid for. Additionally, we pre-ordered two breakfast boxes for our early departure. In the morning, we only received one, and it didn’t match our order. When we mentioned it, they apologized, but there was no solution as we were leaving. Lastly, although this is marketed as a 5-star hotel, based on my experience, it felt more like a 3-star stay.
