A renovated mid century inspired retreat designed for relaxation and comfort.
When its time to dine and explore a three block walk delivers you to the main st of Daylesford.
The original 1950s home of much loved locals Edna and Jack Grant and their five boys for 60 years. Toast them from your private deck whilst enjoying the town vistas and the wonderful 1500 sq metres of mature garden they planted.
Come together at the dining table surrounded by original restored Casala chairs. Coffee and breakfast outdoors from the deck stools taking in the panoramic easterly views of Daylesford.
In winter, sit in the warmth of the northerly sun spilling though the sliding doors.
Sprawl out in the lounge with included Netflix, Britbox and Kayo Sports on the 4 seater couch. Enjoy the views from the two armchairs with one of the 200 plus books or games. Perhaps pick up the house rackets and balls and play on Daylesford's renown grass tennis courts 200 metres away (Oct to April $20 a per hour )
Included NBN Wifi along with 4G backup to keep you connected even if the internet goes down.
The kitchen comes with all mod cons such as dishwasher, induction cooktop, electric oven, microwave, under bench washing machine. Complimentary ground coffee, tea, sugar, milk etc for the coffee machine station for fellow caffeine lovers.
The three main bedrooms consist of Two queens and one king.
Sleep in freshly laundered pure cotton or linen sheets with duck down pillows. All rooms have generous hanging space and storage.
New split systems heat and cool the bedrooms and living spaces. (Below the television, behind a wooden grill, is a highly effective gas heater.)
The study/fourth bedroom, comes with a built in desk which enjoys a view to Wombat Hill and a new single bed that can expand to a double for an eighth guest. ( there is a $25 per night fee for an extra 8th guest )
Light the candles, run a bath with Epsom bath salts (supplied) and gaze at the night sky through the large picture window.
Dog friendly for pooches up to 15kgs. The property has a wonderful 1500 sq metres private mature garden but is not fenced out front.

Summary: Our group of 8 had an excellent stay! The large kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, the heating was great, and the place was spotless. Despite the constant rain that kept us indoors, we really enjoyed all that the house had to offer including books and games. Matt was a fantastic host who made the whole experience seemless. We would gladly return again.
