Escape to your own private paradise at this stunning 5-acre ranch in Vista, CA. Wake up to the sound of birds chirping and the smell of fresh country air. Sip your morning coffee on the courtyard, overlooking the rolling hills and verdant valleys.
This spacious single-story home features three master suites with two attached smaller rooms in the back of two of the three master suites; There is also plenty of room to relax and unwind inside and outside the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, and the dining room seats up to 8 guests plus 4 more in the breakfast nook.
PETTING ZOO: We have a beautiful little petting zoo just a one-minute walk away from this home that you and your family can enjoy during your stay; we have two mini horses, a giant tortoise, a llama, two kune-kune pigs, and several beautiful Nigerian dwarf goats (they all have names). All are very friendly as they've been around people their whole lives; we've had most of them since they were babies. During your stay, you're welcome to come over and visit them any time from outside their enclosures, or you can schedule a time with us to take you inside the enclosures and introduce you to all our furry babies; you'll be able to pet them, get pictures with them and give them treats, they love apples, strawberries, and lettuce. And if you have any small children under five years old, they might be able to get a tiny ride on our giant tortoise as he chases after his lettuce :)

You acknowledge and understand that the swimming pool and jacuzzi at this property do NOT have a protection barrier over them, a fence around the perimeter, or any device or system to prevent any person or any pet from entering or falling into the water.
You acknowledge that you understand this particular risk and that you assume all and full responsibility for yourself and everyone in your group, including daytime guests, for any accidents, injuries, illness, or death caused by the swimming pool or jacuzzi that may occur to you or anyone in your group during your stay.
You acknowledge that by making this reservation, you are accepting and agreeing to full responsibility for any and all risks, including but not limited to the hazard posed by the swimming pool and jacuzzi. You furthermore agree to hold harmless and indemnify the property owners and any workers or employees from any financial liabilities or lawsuits. You are expressly assuming the risk and responsibility of any harm arising from you and your guests' use of the premises.
The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of or damage to your personal belongings.
In the event the property experiences a failure of a system, including but not limited to TV, Internet/WiFi, HVAC (heat/AC), water, sewer, septic, electrical, propane, plumbing, mechanical, appliances, ventilating, or other structural systems, furnishings or amenities, owners will make every reasonable effort to promptly repair or replace the failed system or equipment. The property owners shall not be liable for damages, and no refunds will be given for such failures.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
SWIMMING POOL & JACUZZI: The pool area is private and for your use only, no one else has access to it. Pool towels are in the cabinets above the washer/dryer. This pool gets cleaned on Wednesdays, so expect to see our pool guy…time of arrival may vary.
WARNING! The swimming pool at this property does not have a child-proof barrier around it and, therefore, can be very dangerous to toddlers, small children, pets, or anyone who can't swim. It is very important that you communicate this to everyone in your group, and that all adults take on the responsibility of being vigilant and protecting those most vulnerable. Please also inform the children of the dangers of drowning and to keep away from the pool when no adults are present. If you book this house, you assume full responsibility for yourself and your group in regard to this particular hazard.
POOL HEAT: This pool is a “heated pool”, and like all heated pools, it runs on a solar system that turns on automatically when it’s sunny and when the air is warm (80°+) which is usually between May and October. The solar system will likely not run between November and April unless we have an odd warm day. Note that a very nice pool temperature is between 85° and 87° and outside air temperature needs to be very close to that or higher in order for the pool to reach and hold that temperature.
JACUZZI HEAT: We control the pool/jacuzzi equipment remotely via a phone app. Just notify us when you want it on and off. Depending on the outside air temperature and the starting temperature of the water, it could take 30 minutes to 1 hour to heat.
This jacuzzi is heated with propane, so we charge a $20/hr fee to cover this cost.
We round up to the full hour and keep track of the total hours used, then bill you on the last night of your stay, or after the first 10 hours of use, whichever comes first.
POOL RULES:
* Glass in or near the pool or jacuzzi is not allowed.
* Running around the pool is not allowed.
* Screaming, yelling, or loud music is not allowed.
* Any noise (audible from outside) is not allowed past 9 pm.
* Please do not remove the pool cleaner/vacuum from the pool. If you do, be sure to disconnect the hose from the skimmer on the side of the pool, and make sure to pug it back in and put it in the water after you’re done using the pool for the day.
Recurring maintenance:
Landscaping occurs on Tuesdays.
Trash bins will be taken to the street on Tuesdays and put back on Wednesdays.
Pool cleaning happens every Wednesday.
Pest control happens on the second Tuesday of every month.
Care for chickens happens 2 to 3 times weekly.
NOTE: At our discretion, we may charge a refundable damage deposit upfront before your check-in date, which may range between $300 to $1,000 depending on various factors such as: Which home you rent; How many homes you rent; The nature of your stay; The number of guests you plan on having -including daytime guests; The number of kids in your group; If you do not have a 5-star rating, or if you lack any prior history or reviews.
This refundable damage deposit will be refunded after the house has been cleaned and we've received our cleaning report from our cleaning team or within seven days from your check-out date. The reason for the grace period is that if there is damage that requires repairs, we need to have the time to get repair estimates.
