Positive: It’s a beautiful building, and the grounds are well kept. It’s spacious and has a lovely lounge area with open fireplace. The gym is well-equipped and a great addition to the property. Stephane and his team are great; conscientious and attentive. They were also super flexible with us and let us enjoy ourselves on NYE. They were also really kind to our kids and happy to make snacks as and when needed. The food is excellent, home made Moroccan salads for lunch were a notable delight.
Negative: This particular listing for the property is rather misleading. We were expecting a self-catering house with access to the kitchen and laundry facilities. In fact, this is a staffed and licensed guest house. We weren’t allowed to use the kitchen, which meant knocking and asking for bits and pieces here and there, which made us feel a little uncomfortable at times. Ultimately if you’re happy with a B&B type set up with a team around and lunch and dinner charged extra, it’s great, but to get a full view of the set-up, search for ‘Dar Biona’ to see a more accurate overview (it’s the same property listed via a different agent). ALSO - this property is NOT 6km from the centre of Marrakech, it’s about 26km and a 45/50 min drive.
