A delightful cottage within the grounds of a former manor house, this welcoming retreat is perfect for anyone wishing to explore the New Forest. Set close to the fringes of the National Park, the three-bedroom abode for six guests is one of a handful of exclusive properties nestled in the gorgeous grounds overlooking the River Avon. Head into historic Fordingbridge, less than 1 mile away, to shop for local Hampshire produce and dine out. See its famous, seven-arched, medieval bridge too. Venture into the New Forest to follow footpaths and spot its renowned free-roaming ponies. Pack your beach gear and drive 16.5 miles down to the south coast at Mudeford to swim and enjoy the glorious views. Plan a day out to vibrant Bournemouth, 17 miles away, during your stay.
Return from forest walks to hang your coats and slip off your walking boots in the entrance hall as you pass through. Make your way into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to enjoy relaxation time together after your exertions. Take turns brewing the tea, opening bottles of wine and preparing meals in the well-equipped, modern kitchen. Gather at the table to dine together or to enjoy a hand or two of cards.
