** You'll need a 4x4 vehicle from October to April.
** To protect our guests and ourselves, there is an outdoor motion sensor camera on and recording 24/7. No cameras inside the home for our guests' privacy.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
✓ Must be at least 21 years old
✓ All guests not accompanied by a parent must be at least 21 years old.
✓ Names and identification may be requested by the host.
✓ Sign the Rental Agreement and authorize the Security Deposit hold of $500. Hold will be released 2 days after your stay if there are no damages and excessive mess.
✓ Please be advised that nightly rate increases when you add your pups and will not show as a separate line item during the booking process. It is important to reveal the number of guests and dogs during the booking process. If there are more than the amount of guests or any gatherings are held, we reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund under lack of adherence to house rules.
✓ Please note: Potential for snow and a walk up is very possible. Being in the mountains, there's a possibility of severe weather and our snow plowing services might not be available.
✓ We're located on a snowy mountain so the driveway could be very steep and icy.
✓ Property is about 2.5 miles drive from the main road, which could be a bit bumpy for passenger cars.
✓ About 30 minutes drive to Breckinridge.
✓ 5 minute drive to Alma, if you need to stock up for basic necessities.
✓ Property is at approximately 10,500 ft. elevation, which could be a challenge for guests with altitude sickness so let us know so we can help or if you need oxygen cans.
✓ NO CAMPFIRES: Park County does not allow short-term renters to have wood campfires on the property. It is against the County regulations and will be strictly enforced.
Additional House Rules:
✓ Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM. If available, we may be able to accommodate early check-in for $50.00. Earliest time is 12:00 PM.
✓ The $125 pet fee covers 2 dogs. If you will be bringing 3 or more, an additional fee of $40 applies for each additional dog.
✓ We also ask that you keep the dogs off the furniture and that they are house trained.
✓ No wet clothes inside.
✓ If you used the hot tub, please make sure that the hot tub cover is tightly secured after use.
✓ After your stay, we request that you run any remaining dishes in the dishwasher on your way out and if you used the grill please make sure you clean it and put the cover back on. We pay our cleaners fairly and they have a big job to turnover the unit and sanitize for the next guests. Your appreciation for their hard work can be shown by not leaving excessive mess behind.

Summary: We did not realize from the listing that this home is at an altitude of over 10,500 feet. The three of us all had a difficult time acclimating to the altitude despite all three of us being in very good physical condition. The home is very remote. Alma is the closest town and it is tiny. We wouldn’t stay here again due to the altitude and remoteness. We were never clear where the fishing was five minutes away. The cleanliness was fair. There are several areas that need a deep clean and some paint. There were basic things we expect in a vacation rental that were not there, like ample paper goods, bath soap dispensers to be filled, laundry soap provided, basic kitchen supplies. There is a grill that works very well. However the spare tank was empty. We had a couple of texts from the management company and we texted them once. They did bring a vacuum cleaner after we requested one. If you are looking for a very remote cabin and aren’t too concerned about the amenities of a true 5 star rental then this wouldn’t be a bad choice.
