The standout feature of this residence is its close proximity to nature: there are resident Red Squirrels in the woodland opposite and many birds. There are walks from the door, and the surrounding Dales provide an ideal area for both hikers of all abilities as well as cyclists. Notable local landmarks include Garsdale Railway Station, a five-minute walk away, which carries mainline services as well as steam specials during holiday periods, and the Moorcock Inn licensed tea shop, a mile away.
