Positive: Room was OK - a bit tired in places but clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Bar was OK - a bit noisy with the football on the large screen. Breakfast was good
Negative: Decor is basic in most public areas and in the room as if the whole place needs refurbishing and smartening-up. Despite being advised earlier in the day it would be open, the restaurant was closed in the evening so there was only a limited menu of bar meals available. The meal I had was average. Bar man never smiled once. Other members of staff - e.g. at breakfast - were much more friendly.
Summary: Comfortable but hotel a bit tired and needs a bit of TLC
