Welcome to our truly unique tower in Kew, Melbourne!
This stunning heritage building offers breathtaking views of the surrounding bushland and Melbourne skyline, providing a truly unforgettable experience. The tower is set up over 6 levels and features incredibly high ceilings, creating an atmosphere of grandeur and luxury.
Our tower is in one of the most picturesque domain, surrounded by gardens, trails, parks, reserves, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Welcome to the Tower.
Here is a glimpse of what to expect within that unique property.
Ground floor:
As soon as you enter the tower, you will be welcomed into the foyer, with the stairs on the right leading you to the superior levels. Here, we'll just kindly ask you to remove your shoes, we have provided a shoe shelf with a seat where you can comfortable do so.
First level:
On this level, step into a quaint living/reading room, and to your left you will find the first 2 bedrooms artfully set up queen beds.
One of the bedrooms has a space in the ceiling, which is common with the floor above (just stating this so that it doesn't come as a surprise)
Second level:
Make your way into this cool sanctuary with white painted exposed brick walls and polished oak floorboards. Here is a living room with a TV, a first kitchen fully equipped, a laundry room, a bathroom and a separate toilet. A drying room is attached to the bathroom.
Third level:
This is the main area with the open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. This is probably the level where you will spend the most time. That room is fully equipped and you can enjoy spectacular views from the many beautiful French windows.
Fourth level:
This is a small mezzanine overlooking the third level making it a perfect place to enjoy a good read.
Fifth level:
On that level, you will find the master bathroom, with both a shower and spa bath, as well as a separate toilet.
You will also find two bedrooms with a bunk bed in each room, separated by bi-folding doors. This is a perfect space for kids to enjoy their own space while being close to the main level on just below.
Each bunk bed has a double mattress at the bottom, and a single bed at the top.
Sixth floor:
This is where the magnificent master bedroom is located. The whole floor is the bedroom. Magnificently high ceiling under the very special mansard roof of the tower. Views are unique.
This stay will give you lasting memories for sure.
You will have access to the whole tower for yourself.
The tower is located in a domain with many other accommodations where people live all year long, so please be mindful of them.
Please note the entrance of the tower is on the first level of the building.
This beloved home is situated in a historical heritage site in the heart of Kew. Experience a unique grand living during your stay. It is conveniently positioned close to the city and far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle. Kew is a safe and friendly suburb near some of the city’s best attractions, cafes, restaurants and shops and within close proximity to the CBD (Central Business District).
Kew is known for its stunning greenery, picturesque views, walking and cycling tracks. The Yarra River passes through the leafy suburb with walking trails along the river.
Unique describes this beautiful tower home. Get used to stairs to enjoy its expanses and various vistas to look out onto the grounds and all over Melbourne. No two views from the dozens of windows are the same. Enjoy the various facilities like the barbeque area, swimming pool, gym, beautifully maintained grounds to walk around, the tennis courts and a small basketball court right outside the car park of the tower.
Prerequisites to mention:
We strongly recommend you to have a car (or taxi budget) if you wish to stay in this property. Whilst being close to the CBD, there is no public transport around to circulate conveniently without your own vehicle.
There is free parking on the property for 2 cars.
The street outside the domain allows parking for up to 72hours!
Please do not wear shoes inside the house. This is a private residence so please treat it as you would treat your home. It has been painstakingly carpeted for everyone’s comfort, please keep the carpet and rugs clean of spills, marks and shoes.
Please take care when taking your luggage up the stairs.
Smoking is strictly prohibited. The carpet and surfaces can tell.
Whenever calling an uber or getting anything delivered, it is best to put in 1 Wiltshire Drive as the address so they are not lost looking for the tower.
Deliveries need to be collected from the main entrance.
You may be tempted to open the windows. As flyscreens cannot be installed, this will attract bugs. On the main floor, please do not open any windows as they are original french windows that are virtually impossible to replace and would be very difficult and expensive to repair if damaged on opening. Floor fans have been provided through the house for you if you need.
The heating has been disconnected however there are several heaters around the house should you need them.
If you need to use the laundry during your stay, the cold water is connected for you whole the hot water has been disconnected.
Bathrooms are original to maintain the appeal. One door jams up and needs some manoeuvring to close. Sorry for the inconvenience, a replacement is planned during the next round of renovations.
Some of the windows are difficult to reach from the outside to as you can imagine! Please don’t mind them!
