Saint Simons Island has always been our favorite getaway location. Wonderful memories of visiting this beautiful place as children fueled our desire as adults to own a place here. It was important to us that our children and grandchildren gather here to create their own love and memories of this special place. In addition to the beauty of the island, Saint Simons has great shopping, beautiful churches, and best BEST restaurants you’ll find anywhere. I highly recommend making a list and visiting them all. Our unit has 3 bedrooms (2 twins, 1 queen and 1 king beds) and 2 full baths. The kitchen is fully equipped. Our favorite location is the deck with beautiful marsh views. The deck can be accessed through the living room and the master bedroom. From our condo you can walk (3 minutes) to one of the most popular villages on the island. Redfern Village offers many great options for shopping or eating! Our property is a 5 minute drive to the beach. Saint Simons is approximately 70 miles south of Savannah Georgia and 80 north of Jacksonville Florida. Our unit is not pet friendly.

Skiff Landing Condominium Association, Inc. Rules and Regulations
For All Owners, Tenants and Guests (Rev. 5/9/2021)
These Rules and Regulations of Skiff Landing Condominium Association have been adopted by the Board of Directors for the benefit of all owners and tenants in Skiff Landing Condominiums. Violation of these Rules and Regulations may result in one or all of the following sanctions/penalties being imposed:
a) Suspension of an owner’s voting rights in the Association; and/or
b) Suspension of the right of an owner or his guest(s) and tenant(s) to use the recreational
facilities including pool privileges; and/or
c) Assessment of a fine in the amount of $25 for each day a violation of the Rules and
Regulations occurs. (see Declaration: Article XI, Section 11.01)
In addition, the Association has the right to go to court to enjoin any violation of the Bylaws/Declarations or the Association’s Rules and Regulations, and seek damages and require the offending owner to pay for the Association 's attorney's fees, court costs as well as late fees and interest.
1. Owners are held responsible for the conduct of members of their families, guests, and tenants and are required to provide a copy of these Rules and Regulations to all guests and tenants.
2. FRONT ENTRANCE WAY - Sidewalks, entrances, steps, walkways, and front decks of the building shall not be obstructed. Toys, balls, floats, bicycles and other recreational items should not be stored in the front deck common area and entryways to units. Towels, swimsuits and other clothing or laundry are not permitted to be hung from any railing. No potted plants shall be placed on the railings as this is a safety issue that puts the Association and property owner, tenant or guest at risk should a potted plant fall on a person, pet, or another's property. Potted plants/flowers (with water trays to protect deck) placed on the deck floor outside a unit's entry door are permitted so long as not impeding traffic flow or damaging the deck. Note supplemental rules (including umbrella colors) adopted in June 2018.
3. REAR DECKS – Rear deck furniture shall be of the type designed for outdoor use. Upholstered furniture intended for interior use is not permitted on rear decks. Towels, swimsuits and other clothing or laundry are not permitted to be hung from any railing. No potted plants shall be placed on the railings for reasons stated in item 2. Potted plants/flowers placed on the deck floor must have water trays beneath to protect the deck.
4. DISTURBING NOISE OR CONDUCT interfering with the rights, enjoyment, safety, or convenience of others are not allowed. Radios, I-Pads, stereos, televisions and musical instruments or devices shall not be played in any recreational area or any unit so as to cause a disturbance to other owners or occupants
5. FIREARMS - The discharge of any type of firearm or weapon (including a BB gun/pellet gun) on Skiff Landing property is strictly prohibited.
6. SIGNS AND BANNERS of any sort shall not be erected, posted or hung on any Skiff Landing property or on any unit without the consent of the Property Manager or Board of Directors. (Contact the Property Manager regarding the rules for temporary Open House signs and limited exceptions to this rule.)
7. SATELITE DISH REGISTRATION AND RULES FOR PLACEMENT - Satellite dishes or antennas are NOT to be attached to any building.
8. POLICY ON GRILLS - Gas and/or charcoal grills are NOT permitted to be used in any unit personal deck or any common deck. However, electric grills are acceptable on a unit's personal deck.
9. POOL USE: PLEASE READ AND OBEY ALL POSTED RULES - The swimming pool and gazebo are open from dawn to dusk during season except when closed for cleaning or repairs. No one shall enter the pool area when it is locked or marked as "closed". Skiff Landing owners, their tenants or guests MUST utilize the pool access card to enter the pool area. Loud, disorderly or disruptive behavior is prohibited at the pool and on Skiff property. Smoking, to include e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in the pool area.
10. PETS - Each unit is limited to 2 pets. Pets must not be left outside unattended at any time including on front and rear decks. All dogs MUST be on a leash when outside the unit. All dog defecation MUST be picked up and disposed of by the walker of the dog or a $25 fine will be levied against the unit owner for each incident. (see Item C above)
11. PERSONAL STORAGE - All condominium property shall be kept in a clean, safe and sanitary condition. Each unit is assigned a personal storage unit. Space under all decks and between buildings and storage sheds shall be kept clear of any personal items.
12. EXTERIOR LIGHTING - Exterior string lights are permitted on condo decks or common areas during the Christmas holidays (Thanksgiving Day through Jan 5 of the following year).
14. TRASH AND GARBAGE - All household trash and garbage shall be bagged and put INSIDE the garbage dumpsters located near the entrance of our property. Cardboard boxes are to be broken down to save space in the dumpster. St. Simons Recycling and Trash Drop Off is located at 100 Recycle Way (near vegetable stand/Airport). Hrs: Mon-Sat 10AM-3PM. Phone 912-554-7111. NOTE: THIS AREA IS UNDER VIDEO SURVEILLANCE.
16. PARKING - Each unit is entitled to the use of two parking spaces, one of which is painted with the unit's number and is for the sole use of that unit, while any unmarked space is on a first- come, first-serve basis. Parking vehicles on any grassed area is prohibited. Disabled vehicles and vehicles without current vehicle registration tags, Skiff Landing parking sticker and vehicles violating these rules are subject to being towed at the owner's expense.
17. OTHER VEHICLES - The parking or storage of boats and jet skis cannot exceed seven (7) days and they combined shall occupy only one parking space per owner. Campers, trailers, or other recreational vehicles are prohibited. Motorcycles which are the primary means of transportation are allowed. ONE “street legal” gas powered golf cart per unit is allowed. It must be properly registered with the DMV, have valid license plates, a Skiff Landing parking permit and must comply with our other parking and driving rules. It must not be left "stored" on property.
18. DO NOT SPEED - All vehicles must not exceed the 10 MPH speed limit on Skiff Property or will be subject to being fined.
19. NO SHORT-TERM RENTALS - Occupancy of any unit is limited to single family residences and occupancy by others than occasional overnight guests is prohibited. RENTAL OF ANY UNIT FOR LESS THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. (see Declarations, Section 3.14) Due to safety and postal concerns, Owners shall provide the current Property Manager with (1) the names, phone numbers, email addresses and license plate numbers of their long-term tenants and (2) the name and address of their rental agent, if any. In the event an owner rents his/her unit, he/she releases all rights and privileges to the pool and recreational facilities to said renter.
21. HURRICANES - Upon an announced hurricane evacuation, owners or their tenants must remove and store within their unit(s) all items from their front and rear deck including all wall hangings. Owners or tenants may board up windows and doors at their expense. For more information on hurricane preparedness visit www.glynncounty.org.
22. GRILLING AREA RULES - The grilling area is available for use by residents and owners agesm21 and over from 8 AM until 9 PM. We do not have maintenance personnel to clean up the area so it is up to every user to leave the area tidy. Do not remove hot charcoal from the grill. Leave them for the next user or let them burn out. Never put coals in trash can or on the ground. Please be respectful of others desiring to use the grill after you and limit your time as appropriate or consider sharing whenever possible. No loud music or activities allowed that would disturb residents. Grills with active flames shall never be left unattended. Only simmering coals may be left for others.
23. BICYCLES - Bicycles on the premises of Skiff Landing Condominium Complex not stored in a unit owners personal area shall be stored only in designated bike racks on the property. The owner is responsible to properly secure bicycles to the bike rack. Skiff Landing assumes no responsibility for any damage or theft of bicycles in the condominium complex.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet, clean, and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. The view of the marsh was beautiful. The owner was very responsive and helpful.
