Positive: The location is 12 kms away from the hustle and bustle of Mahabaleshwar, and perfect if you want a quite and peaceful break, and don't mind the commute to Mahabaleshwar. We wanted a relaxing place with a good view, and this suited us. The rooms are large, and comfortable. The attendant is quite helpful and polite. The overall feel of the place is good.
Negative: They are not honest and we felt cheated. In Booking.com, it clearly says that the facilities offered include a kitchen where you can cook. Upon paying the booking amount online, this comoletely changed, and the confirmation message said we could not cook in the kitchen, which was nkt what they told us before booking: so it was a lie. Upon arrival, the owner told us that if we wanted to cook we had to oay Rs.1000 a day. It this was the case it should have clearly been mentioned in Booking.com. This is a real scam. After a little persuasion, they agreed to let us make tea, and warm some.precooked food, but even that felt so unwelcome, and as if we were intruders and unwelcome. The hot water is.pretty much useless for a shower. The geysers are so small that after u turn on the shower, hit water comes exactly for 3 minutes, then all u get is cold water (even after the geyser was kept on for 15 minutes).This meant we had to hurry through our shower instead of having a relaxing shower. The washbasin is so tiny and small that if u wash ur hands it touches all four sides of the washbasin - moat unhygienic feeling. On the day we were checking out, the attendant started trying to get us out from 10 am, even though checkout was around 11 am. He kept saying rudely that our time was up, and while were packing around 10.00 am, he rudely opened the door and said he wanted ro clean the room. I had to tell him to back.off as we still had some time to.chrleckout, and he retreated. It felt very unwelcoming and cheap to be treated like this: no dignity. The worst part was that there are very tiny cockroaches roaming around. You won't spot them so easily but they can get into open packs of food. After we spotted them, we stowed away all our snacks and fruits inside zippered bags.
