Positive: Well, I’ve been to Athens several times already, and the city is — of course — very impressive, though the accommodations often were not :-) THIS accommodation is located close to the absolute city center (Acropoli – 4 stops, Syntagma – 5 stops, Omonia – 6 stops), just about a 7–8 minute walk from the Metro 2 station DAFNI. While there are plenty of shops around the metro station (a multi-level supermarket, bakeries, etc.), you do have to cross a not so great and busy street on the way to the accommodation. But once you go about 50 meters further, you’re in a very quiet residential area. The building itself is beautifully and nicely renovated and even has an elevator, as well as a basement area with a kitchen, washing machine, dryer, etc. Our studio had a small entrance area with a built-in wardrobe. The room featured a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, and microwave; in front of that, there was a table for dining, two seating options opposite, and in the corner, a large and genuinely very comfortable bed with pristine white linens. The bathroom had a shower, sink, and toilet — all with lovely large tiles. The garden/terrace was especially inviting, as we had cloudless skies every day and it was very cozy to sit outside. There was also a flat screen TV. Conclusion: I really like this minimalist style (I live like that at home too) — everything very bright, welcoming, classy, limited to the essentials, and yet you can clearly see the attention to detail (I’m guessing there’s a woman behind it :-) And: the communication was also really GREAT (friendly/polite, guest friendly). Thanks for that too! I would definitely book here again and honestly give the accommodation 12 out of 10 points :-)
Negative: Phew, I don't know what to write here because it’s hard to write any cons that were directly related to the accommodation itself. There was a power outage in the entire area once, and a party on the roof of another building — but it didn’t really bother us much and ended around 1:00 a.m., then it was quiet. As I said, I really can’t find anything negative. Maybe just that the door on the ground floor slams quite loudly. But hey... ^^
Summary: I would definitely book here again and give the accommodation 12 out of 10 points :-)
