*The historic Carriage House is a free-standing structure, located about 100 ft behind its beautiful Mansion, and is part of the nearly one acre property, one of 19 properties on the street, all with historic mansions and many with carriage houses.
*The apartment is on the second floor of the carriage above the parking spaces for 4 vehicles, one of which is available to our guests.
*Janssen Place is a divided street with a wide median and is accessed from 36th Street, between Cherry and Kenwood Streets through a grand entrance monument. The street has historic lighting and beautiful landscaping.
*This luxurious two bedroom apartment above the 4 car garage, has a gourmet kitchen with Jenn-Air stove and frig, Bosch dishwasher, Viking microwave, and has been lovingly restored, giving great attention to incorporating the Arts & Crafts decorating style (including an extensive McCoy art pottery collection with reference books), comfortably sleeps 4 (a queen size bed in each bedroom with memory foam mattresses) and is available for Corporate, Vacation & Short Term Rental.
*Property has a partial exterior surveillance system for guest security with Ring camera located on the backside of the mansion and set to display the backyard, gazebo, driveway, front and north sides of carriage house.

*Great midtown location offers easy access to area attractions including ARROWHEAD STADIUM, Plaza shopping district, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station, Sprint Center ..... etc. Also convenient to UMKC & KC Art Institute campuses, and just a short drive to KU Medical Center.
*All dogs (no more than 2 and less than 50 lbs each) must be approved prior to rental stay. We have a nice fenced in green area behind the carriage house, so that dog guests can have outdoor time on their own, as long as they aren't "barkers". Our Hyde Park neighborhood is full of dog walkers with the only requirement being that the dogs must be on a leash and their owners must pick up their dogs' droppings. Dogs must not be left alone in apartment unless crated.
*Since our property has a FIRM CANCELLATION POLICY (no refund for any reason whatsoever including COVID-related reasons) for cancellations with less than 30 days notice, 50% refund for cancellations with 31-60 days notice), it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT GUESTS PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE AS OFFERED BY VRBO AND OTHER VENDORS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE EVENT THAT A CANCELLATION BECOMES NECESSARY.
