Positive: Luisa's House is an excellent choice for those looking to stay near Lake Como without the high prices typically found in Bellagio. While it’s not located directly in Bellagio, the walk to the village is manageable, and San Giovanni offers a charming, quieter alternative to the busier towns around the lake. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were especially pleased that the sofa bed was made up upon our arrival, and there were plenty of towels for everyone. The kitchen was well-equipped with enough crockery and utensils, allowing us to enjoy home-cooked meals using ingredients from the nearby supermarkets.
Negative: While we appreciated the space and privacy provided by the host to enjoy the apartment, it would have been a nice touch if they had offered some local recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Additionally, the host arrived promptly at 10:00 am to check on our check-out, which we felt was a bit excessive. Although the apartment was generally clean, we noticed that the ceiling fans had accumulated a considerable amount of dust and would have benefited from a quick wipe down before our arrival.
